sFTP Site Setup & Access

Configure and Validate Secure File Transfer Process

Follow these steps to configure and validate your secure file transfer process.

  1. Step 1: Provide User Details Contacts: CommunityDataExchange@healthnet.com
  2. Step 2: Credentials
    We'll create and activate the sFTP site and email credentials once set-up and activation is complete.
  3. Step 3: Test Connection
    Health Net sends a blank test file to your third-party entity. Rename the file using your naming convention prefix.
    • Test to ensure connection is active
    • Confirm naming conventions work
  4. Step 4: Return Third-Party Entity Testing
    Third-Party Entity renames the file using their assigned naming convention and sends back to Health Net through sFTP.
  5. Step 5: File Naming
    All files must start with the agreed naming convention for successful processing. Naming conventions for your organization will be provided directly to you by Health Net.
