Health Net Awards More Than $45,000 to Health Centers for National Health Center Week

Each August, health centers across the country are celebrated for their commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care to their communities. During this year's National Health Center Week (August 3–9), Health Net proudly awarded over $45,000 to health centers throughout California in recognition of their vital work and impact.

Community Health Centers (CHCs) play a critical role in our healthcare system, serving as primary care providers for millions in underserved and low-income communities. They offer comprehensive services—including medical, dental, mental health, and preventive care—making them a cornerstone for promoting overall health and well-being.

Health Net is deeply grateful for the dedication of health centers, their staff, board members, and supporters who work tirelessly to improve community health. Supporting National Health Center Week gives us the opportunity not only to recognize their vital role, but also to give back and invest in their continued success.

The awarded funds will help:

  • Promote awareness and advocate for the essential role of CHCs
  • Showcase how CHCs expand access to high-quality, comprehensive care
  • Recognize and support the dedicated staff who make this care possible
  • Inform communities about the wide range of services CHCs provide
  • Build partnerships that support whole-person health for individuals and families
