"Healthful Harvest" Provides Kern County Community with Free Health Screenings and More Thanks to Health Net and Partners

The path to good health does not start and end at the door of the hospital or a doctor's office. That's why Health Net recently sponsored Healthful Harvest, a community wellness event in Arvin, California. Health Net, four local hospitals and other providers offered nearly two dozen screenings and health care services available to residents. This included:
- Dental and vision screenings
- Pediatric preventive health care
- Immunizations for flu and COVID
- Mental health screening
- Breast and cervical cancer screenings
- Food baskets
- Help with health insurance enrollment
The event is just one part of Health Net's ongoing commitment to creating healthier communities. Since 2017, we have invested more than $100 million in more than 500 community-based organizations. This funding helped groups provide health education, food access, shelter, vaccinations and much more.
