Eisner Health Honors Health Net with the Safety Net Champion Award

Date: 10/18/22

Eisner Health honored Health Net with the Safety Net Champion Award on October 6, 2022. This award shows our proven track record of leadership and how we provide access to quality care for our members. Martha Santana-Chin, Medi-Cal President of Health Net, received the award on the company's behalf.

Health Net partners with clinics like Eisner Health across Los Angeles and the state to improve access to care and health outcomes for some of the most at-risk patients. In Los Angeles County, we serve more than one-third of Angelenos enrolled in Medi-Cal. This is done through our partnerships with more than 2,900 primary care providers, nearly 4,000 specialty providers and 245 Federally Qualified Health Centers.

We've made support for our providers, like Eisner Health, a priority so that they can better care for their patients – with a core focus on bridging the divide in access, equity and quality of healthcare. For example, during the pandemic, Health Net invested over $14.5 million in a variety of efforts, including:

  • Increased access to telehealth and PPE supplies through grants
  • Launched access to 24/7 virtual care
  • Deployed mobile RVs to increase vaccine distribution

We've also been long committed to growing the workforce. Health Net has invested nearly $4 million to upskill practitioners and bring new providers into the Medi-Cal system. This ensures local providers better reflect the people they serve and can reach new patients.
