Disasters can happen at any time. That's why it's important to have backup supplies. To serve local communities, Health Net granted almost $67,000 and KN95 masks to seven local non-profits:

  • Rebuild Greenville/Plumas Strong: $10,000
  • Green Valley Church: $10,000
  • Bayside Church Placerville: $10,000
  • El Dorado Community Health Center: $10,000
  • Greenville Rancheria: $10,000
  • Western Sierra Medical Clinic: $5,400
  • Marshall Foundation for Community Health: $5,000
  • Western Sierra Medical Center: $3,000
  • Placer Community Foundation: $2,500
  • Shingle Springs Tribal: $1,000

Health Net gave $10,000 to Green Valley Community Church in El Dorado County. The county suffered awful effects from the Caldor Fire in 2021. The Caldor Fire burned 782 structures over two months. Many people had to leave their homes. Because of this, the church became a safe place for over 300 people.

"Health Net's grant improved the welfare of our county," said Scott Sinner, lead pastor of Green Valley Community Church. "It helped us go above and beyond for people in need. We gave more than the basic necessities. We were able to help keep our community safe and healthy."

Below are just a few of the items the Health Net grants provided:

  • Products for hygiene
  • Masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19
  • Machines that give power to homes
  • Air cleaners to keep homes free of pollution
