Health Net Inc. recognizes that mobile phones can play a significant role in health care by delivering accurate and timely information. This is why, Health Net Inc in partnership with text4BabySM launched two localized 30 second Public Service Announcements to reach more women and new mothers with the free mobile information service that provides timely maternal and child health information.
Text4baby is an educational program of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB). This educational program is the nation's first free texting service to provide information to pregnant women and new moms to care for their health and give their babies the best possible start in life.
If you are a new mom or pregnant you can sign-up for the service by texting BABY to 511411(or BEBE for Spanish) to receive three text messages each week timed to your due date or baby's date of birth.
All messages you receive from text4baby are free as long as your service provider is a mobile operator partner.
Text4baby should not be used as a substitute for prenatal care, infant care, or any other care before, during, or after pregnancy. Your health care provider should be your first source for health information that is specific for you and your baby. Text4baby may help women care for their health and give their babies the best possible start in life.
